Lukoil to launch Rakushechnoye field in Caspian Sea in 2023
ASTRAKHAN, Jul 23 (PRIME) -- Russian oil major Lukoil plans to launch exploitation drilling at the Rakushechnoye field in the Caspian Sea in 2021 and launch it 2023, CEO Vagit Alekperov told reporters on Tuesday.
“The company launches new platforms each year. Next year the supporting blocks of a new platform will be installed at the Rakushechnoye, which will be put in operation in 2023…We plan to start exploitation drilling in 2021,” Alekperov said.
The initial recoverable resources of the Rakushechnoye field discovered in 2001 amount to around 39 million tonnes of oil and gas condensate and 33 billion cubic meters of gas. The production plateau stands at 1.2 million tonnes of oil annually.
Alekperov also said that Lukoil plans to start drilling at the Khazri deposit in the Caspian Sea in 2020.
